All-Church Worship and Picnic – Sunday, August 25
On Sunday, August 25, our two morning services will unite in one service at 10:00am in our Sanctuary, followed by a picnic at the church. There will be games for the kids and fun for everyone! Yummy hamburgers and hotdogs will be served, along with potluck salads and desserts. A sign-up sheet can be found in Fellowship Hall for the potluck. Please plan to park on the street or in the college Activities Center parking lot as you are able, making our church parking lot available to our elderly and infirm. You can contact Toni Carlyle at (509) 758-9380 if you have any questions.
Wednesday In The Word – Wednesday at 12:00noon
Pastor Steve is leading a 12:00-1:00pm Wednesday Bible Study in the Chapel on the coming Sunday’s Scripture passage. All are welcome to join in the conversation.
Sharing communion and visiting with our shut-ins is one of the aspects of the Service Ministry. If you or someone you know would like communion or a visit, please call the church (208-743-4444) or Mike Gabby (208-743-6645). Serving others like this is a blessing for us and them.
The Juvenile Corrections Center in Lewiston offers churches the opportunity to provide religious services to the residents of the facility every Sunday. Four area churches provide this experience on a monthly basis. CrossPoint Alliance is looking for a few more people to join their team of 6-8 adult volunteers on the first Sunday of every month from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. The male residents are generally 14 to 18 years old and attend on a voluntary basis. If interested, you can attend one time without a commitment. For more information contact Kate Nowlin at 208-816-9565 or email@example.com.
Get Connected Today! The Small Group Ministry of our church includes Home Small Groups, Study Small Groups, Interest Small Groups, and Service Small Groups. To join a group, contact Pastor McLane at McLaneS@congopres.org.
If you or a loved one is sick or in the hospital, please contact the church to let Pastor Steve and Jim McCracken know (208-743-4444). Due to confidentiality regulations, they cannot determine independently who is in the hospital.
