Hanging of the Greens – Sunday, November 18
Join us Sunday, November 18, 3:00-5:30pm, to ready our church for the Christmas season. While the Worship Ministry is busy “decking the halls,” the Children’s Ministry will provide holiday crafts for the kids with childcare available in our nursery for ages 3 and under. A taco dinner will be served for everyone by the Fellowship Ministry at 5:00pm. Please mark your calendars now for this fun time of preparation for Advent. Help is needed at the event to:
- Decorate the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall including the Sanctuary Christmas tree, set-up our Nativity scenes, and hang the Sanctuary banners, the outside Christmas wreath, and other festive trimmings.
- Children’s Ministry is in need of unfrosted sugar cookies, tubs of vanilla frosting, Christmas themed sprinkles, and a few people to help at craft tables. Sign-up in Fellowship Hall to help.
- Calling all holiday bakers! Fellowship Ministry is seeking homemade cookies to be served with the meal. Sign-up in Fellowship Hall to provide a homemade treat.
All-Church Rake-’em-up – Saturday, December 1
Join us Saturday, December 1, for a fun morning of raking and removing leaves. We will begin at 9:00am and plan to finish by noon, at the latest – come whenever you can and stay as long as you can. Breakfast goodies and a light lunch will be provided. Please bring rakes, tarps, and pick-up trucks to haul the leaves away.
Angel Tree – Sundays, December 2 and 9
This program ministers to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of children who have a parent incarcerated in an Idaho prison. The Angel Tree adorned with gift selections will be in Fellowship Hall on December 2 and 9. Stop by and select an Angel, shop for your gifts, and bring them to the church no later than December 16. They will be delivered to the children by members of our Angel Tree ministry.

Wednesday In The Word – Wednesday at 12:00noon
Pastor Steve is leading a 12:00-1:00pm Wednesday Bible Study in the Chapel on the coming Sunday’s Scripture passage. All are welcome to join in the conversation.
Sharing communion and visiting with our shut-ins is one of the aspects of the Service Ministry. If you or someone you know would like communion or a visit, please call the church (208-743-4444) or Carol Trautman (208-816-0360). Serving others like this is a blessing for us and them.
The Juvenile Corrections Center in Lewiston offers churches the opportunity to provide religious services to the residents of the facility every Sunday. Four area churches provide this experience on a monthly basis. CrossPoint Alliance is looking for a few more people to join their team of 6-8 adult volunteers on the first Sunday of every month from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. The male residents are generally 14 to 18 years old and attend on a voluntary basis. If interested, you can attend one time without a commitment. For more information contact Kate Nowlin at 208-816-9565 or email@example.com.
Get Connected Today! The Small Group Ministry of our church includes Home Small Groups, Study Small Groups, Interest Small Groups, and Service Small Groups. To join a group, contact Pastor McLane at McLaneS@congopres.org.
If you or a loved one is sick or in the hospital, please contact the church to let Pastor Steve and Jim McCracken know (208-743-4444). Due to confidentiality regulations, they cannot determine independently who is in the hospital.
