Hello friends, it’s great to be back!
It was so good to be able to spend the summer with my baby as Julia went back to work. It was such a good time to bond, to spend time caring for her, and being able to focus on her and our family for a short season. On behalf of our family, I want to say thank you for your support and prayers while we were gone.
And it’s good to be back! We are making progress on our search for our
Nex-Gen Director, and are starting to line up interviews. Keep praying for us as we discern and listen to God to find the person that will aid our ministry to youth and families.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 6th! We’re going to have our outreach block party across the street on the LC lawn from 4-7pm. We’ll have food, and we’re hoping for live music, and most importantly a chance for
Congo-Pres to meet some of our neighbors. The word “neighbor” is an important word in the gospels, and Jesus has some strong consistent words about how we’re to treat them: love, give mercy, welcome.
We need people who can help set up before, who can help tear down, and people with the special role of meeting and connecting with neighbors who show up.
We’ll be pushing that out a lot in the coming weeks, and we’d love to have you join in this effort!
